Send Urgent Aid to Civil Society Groups in Gaza

Dear Friend,

We have sent the first portion of our emergency aid to Atfaluna Society on October 31.

Atfaluna Society is among a handful of grassroots organizations that are distributing aid in the community.  Some of their staff members are remaining in Gaza City, and have managed so far to provide food and medical supplies that are still available in the local market.  The aid distribution is being carried out in the central and southern areas of the Gaza Strip. 

They confirmed receiving of our donation via a text message, and described their efforts:

"Currently, all the support that is coming to us is providing food and health aid to a large number of displaced people, and we are currently preparing to provide special winter aid, clothing and blankets, and our teams in the Protection Department are providing psychological first aid services and psychological support services in shelter centers."

The donation to Sulafa Embroidery Center is also ready to be sent as soon as they are able to receive and distribute it.  We continue to stay in touch with some of their staff members, who are sheltering in the south.

Our fundraising goal has been doubled to $40,000 since it was launched on October 14.  We are grateful for the generous contributions from nearly 300 donors from countries around the world.
