The workshops have been going very well with the children. A lot of activities worked as a trigger to some issues raised by the children themselves, like drugs addictions, sexual education, hygiene. These topics were brought to the table by the children and our teachers obviously took the opportunity to capitalize them as learning experiences.
For the coming months, the children will receive the visit of 4 local artists that will do special workshops of 2 hours each and the kids will create their own art pieces in all kind of forms: plastic arts, tshirts drawings, paintings, grafitties, etc. At the end of the year all the work of the children will be published in a local design/art magazine and will be exposed in museum, art galleries and communitarian centers; to raise awareness of the children reality.
