Spring is finally in Argentina and children are happy to be outdoors. We've celebrated 'spring day' last September with games and a nice picnic at the park. The group have been doing great progress and working on many different art-fields: painting, crafts and recycled-magazines objects for day to day life. The school year in Argentina is winding up and everyone is getting prepared for a long summer holidays, and therefore we have to pay special attention to not lose movitation within the group. To do that we organized once every two weeks a 'game day' in where children have to make a conventional classroom into a playground in where they can play later on. As you can imagine, creativity exploded and children came up with the most amazing ideas in order to play.
Meanwhile in the US, our program director Luz Amuchastegui took part of the Global Mentoring program of the US Government for Emerging women leading for development (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7IHXop_mie4&feature=youtu.be). During her participation on the program she had the chance to improve her skills and plan some new strategies for the future, and even meeting Oprah and tell our story.
Thanks to your support we could have another quarter of quality activities and we are able to look to the future with more challenges and dreams!
All the best to you and looking forward to our next contact.
