Blossom's Buds Network is a group of centres dedicated to empowering children in the rural areas of Virudhunagar and Madurai districts.
Our Buds Network centres focus on reaching all vulnerable children, with a particular focus on girls, with supplementary education and life skill development. In this way, we are safeguarding children’s right to education while fighting against the discrimination they may face. We currently have 11 operational centres in Virudhunagar and Madurai districts, reaching more than 500 children.
But we are not stopping here. Our goal is to open 50 centres in total and reach over 2,500 vulnerable children, aged 6 to 18, across Tamil Nadu with supplementary education and support. We also plan to expand our activities to computer education and sports sessions!
During this summer, we had organised Vocational skills training, Arts and Crafts training for the children. Stationeries and craft materials were distributed. Nutritious snacks were also distributed from time to time.
We are in need of some more amount to cater to the needs of these children to strengthen our BUDS centres as early as possible.
