Completed Exterior
After 5 months of building, the 6 classroom block is now complete. Mr Pram, our contractor built in record time. He was kind enough to only charge us for the materials and he supplied the labor costs. His children go to TaPang school and will be the beneficiaries of the new learning center.
The sparkling new interiors are missing the glass whiteboards, desks and teachers stations.
We are in the midst of installing the solar power before the heavy rainy season. Next on the agenda is to install our computer lab.Our official opening will be held in November to coincide with the new school year.
We could still use support for this project.
We are thrilled to be able to supply a safe learning environment for the children.
Thanks for your generous support.

Desk and Computers still needed

Book Report
Although the new building of the English Classrooms and Computer Lab is 75% complete, we are far behind with raising funds to furnish the desks and computers.
Our target date for completion is the end of June, so there is still time to donate and help fund our missing desks and computers.
We have great report cards from the English Classes and all passed their latest tests with flying colors. We are looking forward to having them continue classes after The Khmer New Year.
The book project was a great success and each group of students worked hard on retelling in their own words, the stories of the books they read.
It is so gratifying to see the progress the students have made in the past 6 months.
Your financial support to help furnish the new classrooms is invaluable.

Groundbreaking for New English Classrooms

Groundbreaking Ceremony
In the midst of our Teacher Training and Literacy mission in January, we broke ground for the new English Classrooms and IHerb Cultural and Lerning Center.
The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by our volunteer group of 20 Californians who had spent the past 10 days teaching the teachers and the kids. The students were on hand to cheer on the CCDO team and the two directors of Tapang School. The director of the high school had the honor to break the ground and VP of CCDO, Ksenija Olmer and the teachers cut the improvised ribbon.
It has been a week since they started and we are on target to complete in the next 3 months.
We will need more funds to furnish the classrooms with desks and computers for the new computer lab. The kids are so excited that they will be able to sit in their new classrooms without the fear of the building collapsing.
Please continue to give generously as we are far from our target to furnish the desks. Education is they key to a better future for Cambodia.
