In the midst of our Teacher Training and Literacy mission in January, we broke ground for the new English Classrooms and IHerb Cultural and Lerning Center.
The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by our volunteer group of 20 Californians who had spent the past 10 days teaching the teachers and the kids. The students were on hand to cheer on the CCDO team and the two directors of Tapang School. The director of the high school had the honor to break the ground and VP of CCDO, Ksenija Olmer and the teachers cut the improvised ribbon.
It has been a week since they started and we are on target to complete in the next 3 months.
We will need more funds to furnish the classrooms with desks and computers for the new computer lab. The kids are so excited that they will be able to sit in their new classrooms without the fear of the building collapsing.
Please continue to give generously as we are far from our target to furnish the desks. Education is they key to a better future for Cambodia.
