The Cost of Medical Surgery Assessed!

By Dungrila Pascal Mbimenyuy | Project Leader.

''A's" cost of medical surgery has been assessed in collaboration with his family and the medical team of 4 suregen doctors at the Yaounde Regional Hospital, Cameroon. IAA will pay $3124 including treatment, surgery and follow up.

''A" was identified for support by IAA when he was 15 years old, third child in a family of 6 children to a widow. He was in class 6, and has been suffering with growth since he was about 5 years and lost his father when he was 9. Over the years the scar continued to increase until this day and does not show any sign of stopping soon. The mother is a peasant farmer in Mbonso who barely feed the children. The three boys do small jobs to pay a room and access education in Kumbo and responsible for all school needs. Today, he is in the sencodary school in form four with sponsorship from IAA.

Over the past 6 months, he has been traveling from Kumbo in the Northwest to Yaounde in the Center region, where there are experts, to receive treatment including injections and medication to reduce pains and continued advancement of the growth while IAA continues to prepare for complete surgery to be conducted on him. His greates aspiration is to regain his health, live like his peers and attend his education without disruption.

Integrated Agricultural Association (IAA) created a fundraising 4 years ago, to support this boy and his siblings who are vulnerable and in need of support. Since then,  $1,287 raised of $5,000 goal through 16 donations and $3,713 to go.

IAA needs urgent financial donation today, to get the surgery done quickly and to provide education needs for 2026/2027 academic year, including tuition fees, books/bags and uniforms to "A'' and his siblings.

Would you like to make a difference in someones life today? Make a one time donation now or become our monthly donor.

With gratitude!
