Fund Gold Medals for Graduation of Girls

Fund Gold Medals for Graduation of Girls

During this pandemic, women have felt overwhelmed by the "double double" shift of work, husbands at home and home-schooling schildren. Daughters have witnessed all this and felt overwhelmed and fearful for what the future holds.

So, when a young woman, while struggling with the usual home-schooling lifestyle manages to excel and top her class, it's even more important for her to have a bit of fanfare and recognition.

Gold medals are only given to the best of the best and when in Pakistan the best is a woman, all too often no one has donated a gold medal in that category. We thank you for supporting women achievement. Please continue to do so, and motivate and encourage such talented young women. Thank you!

It's becoming increasing difficult for girls to have access to education, especially those not attending the poshed, elite schools of Pakistan who are operating virtually. For others, it's a constant wait and see game, when they can next safely go back to school.

So, it's more important than ever, that those who are working hard, studying at home with discipline and determination are rewarded for their efforts.

Gold medals are only given to the best of the best and when in Pakistan the best is a woman, all too often no one has donated a gold medal in that category. We thank you for supporting women achievement. Please continue to do so, and motivate and encourage such talented young women. Thank you!

With schools closed, there was a newfound trension in girl education.  Daughters are historically lesser of a priority to be educated than sons, and when schools are closed or online, already girls are assumed to do the housework and in some cases, are married off, rather than sent back to school..
Yes, many parents and children are stressed because they are home-schooling kids right now, but in parts of Pakistan, there are girls for whom this COVID-10 lockdown, school closing, may be an excuse or the reason, they marry early and never return to school again.
Role models are very key to combat stereotypes and presenting publicly gold models to women top students is a very basic, but powerful way to do this.

When a girl gets an A or tops the class, we want her to know only know she is appreciated and special, but to have a symbol for that. So, we want to gift universities gold medals for these top performing girls, even in online ceremonies.

Help us foster change. Help us transform lives.  Donate today. Thank you!

With universities and schools closed due to COVID-19, its the girls of the world, paritcularly those in Pakistan, who are suffering the most education-wise. Especially deserving girls don't have laptops to do home study, and the majority of their schools do not have remote study programmes.

Although final exams are on hold, many girls are eager to learn and are reaching out to us through our Educate a Girl and other programmes.  When the gold medals are announced this year, even though delayed, the girls who win them will have overcome more than imagine. During the lockdown, many girls may stop their education path forever as they will be diverted toward helping their home, marrying earlier than otherwise, or other options.  Those girls who end up continuing their studies and shining with a gold medal, will do so against so many odds. More than we can imagine.

Believe in these girls, support them with their education and celebrate them with testimonies and milestones such as these gold medals, which are too rarely in the homes of girls.

Women and girls are renowned for loving Jewelery. When one hears the words gold and girls, most people immediate think jewelry and accessories, not education.

However, gold and education go hand-in-hand in the Pakistan as gold medals are given out to the top student academically in each class. Connecting Pakistani girls with gold medals instead of just gold earrings is more than motivating, it's groundbreaking.

That is why it's so important to sponsor medals for female top students so that they can showcase their success, their academic prowess, visibly.

Thank you for supporting us to strengthen the self esteem of Pakistani girls and to spotlight their academic achievements this way.
