Free-of-cost School for Underprivileged Children

With the fourth industrial revolution in motion, science & technology skills are needed now more than ever. Recognising this, JAAGO Foundation encourages young minds to be more innovative and resourceful in modern technology by organising science fairs. Participating in science fair projects help students feel confident and competent and fosters a spirit of scientific inquiry. The benefits of participating in after-school activities range from enhanced communication to new friendships to leadership training to enhancing personal or social awareness in our school.

JAAGO Annual Science Fair 2023

JAAGO Foundation held its Annual Science Fair at the Bengal Blueberry Hotel in Gulshan 2. The event was inaugurated by Founder Chairman of Summit Group and attended by UNICEF Representative to Bangladesh as the Special Guest. The event was a celebration of science and innovation, where JAAGO students showcased 22 projects that tackled various global issues.

The Importance of Science and Sustainability

At the event, IFC Country Manager for Bangladesh emphasized that science and sustainability are the building blocks of a brighter future. He encouraged everyone to cultivate their passion for both and work towards creating a better world that benefits not only ourselves but also our communities and planet.

The Role of Philanthropy in Education

The chief guest emphasised the importance of getting children learning again to help secure their future. As part of Summit Group’s CSR initiative, it provides a matching grant enabling JAAGO Foundation to educate 4,500 underprivileged students across Bangladesh using their UNESCO award-winning teaching model.

The UNICEF Representative to Bangladesh encouraged the students to keep learning, keep listening, and keep asking questions, for it is through this process that we unlock the true potential of the human mind. He added that UNICEF supports specialised learning programs for 3,000 children living in Dhaka South City Corporation Zones 3, 4, and 5 who have dropped out of school.

Live Digital Classes and Virtual Interaction

Visitors had the opportunity to witness live digital classes from JAAGO Foundation’s Habiganj, Bandarban, and Rangpur locations. Guests joined one of these digital classes and interacted with the students virtually. The event concluded with a prize-giving ceremony where the winning teams were presented with prizes, acknowledging their achievements and encouraging further participation and innovation in science.

Digital education and science and technology played a significant role in the JAAGO Annual Science Fair projects. Digital education has become more critical than ever before. The projects presented by the students demonstrated the innovative use of technology and digital platforms to solve various problems in healthcare, agriculture, and environmental conservation. Science and technology integration in education has the potential to empower students and equip them with the necessary skills to tackle the challenges of the future. JAAGO Foundation’s use of ICT to provide education to underprivileged students is a prime example of how technology can be leveraged to bridge the education gap and provide opportunities for all.

We have recently admitted 600 new students from the marginalised community into our reception class. These children come from underprivileged backgrounds, and their families cannot afford to provide them with quality education. However, with your help, we can change that. By sponsoring the education of these children, you can help provide them with the opportunity to learn and grow. This will break the cycle of poverty and improve their chances of a brighter future. Your contribution will not only benefit these children but will also have a positive impact on their families and their entire community. Notebook Distribution at JAAGO Foundation schools:

Annual Sports Day at JAAGO Foundation Schools:

From relay races to tug-of-war, from sack races to spoon marble races, our students showed off their competitive spirit and sportsmanship on their Annual Sports Day. It is a day when students learn exemplary values like teamwork, perseverance, and fair play. And, of course, we can't forget the fun and laughter that came with dressing up in their favourite outfits!

International Mother Language Day 2023: Unleashing a world of linguistic diversity

Our students celebrated International Mother Language Day with a vibrant display of cultural programs and activities, paying tribute to the language martyrs who laid down their lives to preserve their mother tongues. From reciting poems to singing traditional songs and offering flowers, our students beautifully showcased the rich tapestry of languages and cultures that exist within our community. Together, let's cherish and celebrate the beauty of our native tongues!
