Hello, dear supporters!
We would like to share with you the story of Nadka, for whom the medical center has become a place of support and trust – largely thanks to your contribution!
Nadka is an adolescent mother who frequently visits theHESEDcommunity center and who was referred by the Child Protection department. Nadka and her daughter receive parenting skills counseling provided by the team. The main topics of their conversations are infant and child care, feeding and maternal care. Nadka's parents are involved in this work in order to help her with raising her daughter.
The medical center feels like an accessible place for the young mom and provides a peace of mind for her, as she is always accompanied by the social worker with whom she has already established a trusting relationship. In addition to the paediatric check-ups to monitor the baby's condition, the team has welcomed Nadka’s decision to get an IUDto prevent unwanted pregnancy – she has just gone through the procedurewith the obstetrician-gynecologist at the medical center.
