The scourge of facial cleft and craniofacial deformity in Nigeria is appalling with a prevalence of 1 in 1000 individuals. This results in social stigmatization leading to an increase in the 'out-of-school syndrome' in children and adolescents. This project is targeted at providing free facial surgical treatments for 500 targeted persons ,drawn from 7 regions within NORTH-CENTRAL NIGERIA.

North-Central Nigeria having more than 20,000 affected individuals.children and adolescents are predominantly affected. This problem is compounded by the dearth of maxillofacial surgeons within North-central Nigeria with just 5 surgeons serving a population of 20,266,257.this project will affect 500 people within a period of 2 years across 7 identified places in the region
Cleft care foundation Nigeria will provide for affected individuals free surgical care, free medication and free hospital admission during the entire period of treatment. there will also be a two month post surgery review of the beneficiaries.
the project will transform 500 individuals with facial defects to an aesthetically pleasing and more socially acceptable state thereby eliminating the stigmatization and making them able to contribute their quota to socio-economic development of the country
