Our Foundation aims to support initiatives focused on children well-being, especially when exceptional personal endeavor is in place. Through this project we will support a great philanthropists - Mr. Jurkovic, carpenter from Serbia. Out of his pure heart, last year Mile started to produce and donate baby feeding chairs. In just year and a half, he has finished over 600 chairs with his own hands! We want to develop this great initiative and provide Mile's workshop with much needed machine.
Many families in Serbia are living in poverty and can't provide basic necessities for their babies. Buying a baby feeding chair is impossible for many families, although they are much needed in everyday life of a growing baby. In addition, chairs are unavailable or too expensive for children with disabilities, leaving parents with extensive day care issues and obstacles. Therefore, we started this project to buy a small, but professional carpenter machine for Mile's workshop.
By this project, we will purchase professional carpenter machine for Mile, so he could more efficiently produce baby chairs. This machine is very important, since Mile will be able to produce specially adjusted chairs for children with disabilities. Many families have already asked for needed support, since they can't buy specialized chairs that are unaffordable for majority of families. Mile is determined to continue with his philanthropic work and assist more families in Serbia and region too.
After supporting over 600 families in just year and a half, Mile the carpenter will continue to construct chairs for children and donate them to the families in need. Special focus will on the children with disabilities and tailor-made chairs, helping everyday life and activities of children with disabilities. This will be huge support for those families. Mile is inspiring people to support common good and we are gladly supporting his activities and provide support for vulnerable families.
