Football is a big industry which provide source of income for youths all around the world, in Tanzania as well as knowing this but the Government has not yet developed specific strategies for youth soccer. Among the best-to-play soccer strategies is to create young player to realize the value of his talent by conducting the tournament which can provide chance to youths to measure up themselves and show their talent, in that regard in 2015 FASDO established this tournament.
Youths in Tanzania make up 68% of the population. unemployment for youths in Tanzania is one of major challenge the country faces. The statistic shows that unemployment rate among youths age 18-34 years is 70 % The course of unemployment in Tanzania include imbalance between demand and supply of jobs in the labor market, row rate of jobs creation in general economy(resulting from row rate of investment) and absence of specific employment stimulus programs.
despite, youths in Tanzania face unemployment problem but they have great talents in sports, this tournament will provide the youths an opportunity to show their talents will making their talent known by professional clubs, once known the youths will be able employed as professional and hence earn a living and transform their lives and others from abject poverty. Apart of show their talent this tournament will shield these youths from temptation of drug use and juvenile delinquency
the project will involve 480 young players and will be conducted every year, apart of being the platform for young players to show their talents but also will change the mindset of these young players and make them consider that their talent is the way of earning living rather than to relay on employment which is major problem in the country.
