Our dear friends,
Darfur Women Network is grateful for your support and your willingness to continue your strong support.
The Food Security and Agriculture project is important because it helps experienced farmer and refugees to grow their own food to end their hunger, and secure their farm for the next year, 2017.
We are working diligently to finalize last document to start our project. We had completed translating our profile, application, and proposal from English to French. We continue to consult Chadian experts. We expected the approval on Monday, July 18 but, they informed our staff that they will call them to collect the approved document.
We have had our plan and beneficiaries ready to start as soon as we receive the needed approval. We have already had 15 Hectare, ploughs, and seeds available. We identified 30 refugees, 20 women who are head of their household and 10 males who are the poorest in the refugee camp.
The procedures in Africa take much more time than expected. Our documents were completed at the Ministry of Family Service and Social Care in N’djamena, Chad and the transfer to the Security Department for the final approval.
I just talked to our staff in N’djamena, Chad and they told me that they were asked to meet with security department three days ago, but the department kept pass pond. They went today, but they said that they will call them when they want to see them or when they approved the document.
The need help is to receive our approval and to bring great supports to our refugees and our wonderful news to our partner, Global Giving, and our donors and our strong support the VMware Foundation.
We promise to update you as soon as we receive our approval documents and our staff travel from N’djamena to the camps.
We are grateful for your generous donation and your patience.
