Dear Friend,

Warm greetings and thank you very much for your kindness and generosity in supporting our project providing food, livelihood and nutrition support for disadvantaged women and girls. This reporting period is particularly challenging because of the ill-effects of the Coronavirus pandemic into the lives of poor communities. We are hoping that there will finally be a solution and cure to the virus and that communities can re-start their normal lives. Thanks to donors and supporters, we are able to provide food packs to 720 women and their families in 2 villages. Aside from the food packs comprising well-loved Filipino menu, we also provided them with vegetable seeds in order for the families to start small backyard gardening activities. This is aimed at increasing their sources of nutrittious food and added income when they sell the surplus.

Hoping for your continuing support. Thank you so much.

Very sincerely yours,

Michelle Frances

Dear Friend,

Warm greetings and thank you very much for your generous support to our project providing livelihood and nutrition support for women. This time is precarious for poor hoseholds as climate change and the proliferation of virulent virus such as the recent Coronavirus will impact in a hard way local communities with very little coping mechanisms. This reporting period, we are able to initiate the organization of women farmers and housewives to grow and process dragon fruit plants. The plants grow very well and there are a lot of open farmlands that can be devoted to its production. The products are endless, from fresh fruits to soap, candies, jams and wine. The women's association will focus on the processing of various products for the marketand our next step will be to assist in the registering of their association so that they will have a legal personality, accessing support from partners and then start processing the products for value adding. We will provide additional updates in succeeding reports about their progress.

Very sincerely yours,

Michelle Frances

Dear Friend,

Warm greetings and thank you very much for your generosity in order for us to provide food, livelihood and nutrition support for poor, disadvantaged women. This reporting period, we focus our attention to promoting high-valued fruit trees with the potential of providing nutrition, food and health benefits for the entire family. We visited a farm in another province in order to request for the seedling nursery growing of mango and a few other fruits. We selected the best planting materials that we are able to access for this initiative. For example, we selected a type of mango that won an international record as the biggest and we hope that with the planting materials we acquire, we will be able to also grow similar.

Hoping for your continuing support for this project.

Very sincerely yours,

Michelle

Dear Friend,

Warm greetings and thank you very much for your continuing support to our project focusing on the welfare of women and providing them with food, livelihood and nutrition inputs. One of our proven approach is to reach-out to more supporters for the project by bringing local individuals to where women are initiating activities that will improve their living conditions. This is one of our most effective approach since women want to see in order to follow and act. We are happy to inform you that there are many women leaders in the field leading in activities that improves their condition. Most of their initiatives center around the growing of vegetables to provide for them food, income and nutrition. We were able to conduct  site visitation during this reporting period.

Hoping for your continuing support.

Very sincerely yours,

Michelle Frances Uy

Dear Friend,

Warm greetings and thank you very much for your generous support to our project helping very poor women with food, livelihood and nutrition support. This reporting period we provided individualized support to selected women in very difficult situation. Because of poverty and lack of productive resources, women are very disadvantaged and have difficulty in providing for their families. Our support include providing them with latrines for those who have none, providing vegetable seeds so that they can start backyard gardening, providing small capital so they can initiate their own business and providing small animals like ducks and chicken that they can raise for meat and eggs.

Hoping for your continuing generosity and support for this project.

Very sincerely yours,

Michelle
