Kiwimbi's Food for Thought continues to provide lunch to hundreds of children every day. This is a critical meal for the students in our programs and for some is the only one they can be guarenteed to have each day. During the busy time at the Library when school is on holiday and we run Camps at the Library every day, there are more students than ever who receive a daily meal. In fact there can be up to 1,000 children on any given day during these school holidays. The daily meal is githeri, a highly nutritious meal made from beans and maize. We are grateful that our donors provide the funds needed to ensure that no child goes hungry.
