The new school year in Kenya began in early January, but our Food for Thought lunch program never stopped during what is called "the long holiday" when chools were closed for a few months around the Holiday season. The children continue to come to the Library in large numbers to participate in art lessons, play chess, participate in basketball and other games, and importantly to work on their academinc lessons and continue to read storybooks. In the new school-year, the children are fed their daily lunch at each of our three Focus Schools ensuring that they stay in school all day and receive a full day's lessons.
