Summary

We are committed to supporting children in Bosnia who are disadvantaged by poverty. Firstly: we provide lunch at school for kids whose parents cannot afford to pay. We make sure no kids are excluded from the lunch. Secondly: in this pandemic, we send food packages to Bosnian families in need. Your donation will provide primary necessities to those families who are struggling with the consequences of the Corona crisis. Thirdly, we buy school books for children living in poverty.

Challenge

Many kids in Bosnia are disadvantaged by poverty. Children receive lunch at school only if their parents pay for it. However, many parents cannot afford these daily meals, as poverty is a huge problem in Bosnia. Many children consume at least half of their meals at school, and for many, food served at school may be the only food they regularly eat!

Solution

Your donation will deliver daily lunch at school to those children whose parents cannot afford to pay, making sure they are not excluded from the lunch. With a donation of $10 you will provide daily lunch for one child for one month. A donation of $77 covers all meals for one child during the whole year. Make a difference today. 100% of your money goes to the children! We are also looking for new volunteers, who can help us with either fundraising or raising awareness by sharing our initiative.

Long-Term Impact

Once excluded from the lunch at school, these children deal with hunger and discrimination. In the long run, they face negative consequences in their cognitive and social development. Our initiative will provide daily lunch at school for 500 kids in Bosnia (each school year), allowing them to focus on their education and development.
