Project Need:
Northwest part of Bangladesh is still acknowledged one of the poorest areas in the country. Kurigram District is located in the Northwest part of Bangladesh. The district with 09 Sub-District, covers 2, 28,800 hectors of land (2290 sq. km) the population of the District is 2.3 million. Landless (cultivating less than 0.50 acres) and marginal (cultivating between 0.51 to 1.50 acre) farmers account for 45% and 19% households respectively. Small farmers (1.51 acres to 2.50 acres) represent a further 11% household. The average size of the household is around 5.7 persons. The labour Force is predominantly/ agricultural and it is as high as 8% this labor force suffers from a high level of underemployment.
No access of education especially for those who are out reach children. Their role is considered to be that of caretakers and child rears and education would make not benefit to families these are the typical mentality of people living in the villages.
(1) The present education does not generate or fortify the type of knowledge that is relevant to our changed society.
(2) Technology associated with a particular body of knowledge is inappropriate to our stage of development in terms of its employment potential or investment demands.
(3) Education has failed to provide value framework which may prepare committed politicians, bureaucrats, technocrats, and professionals on whom our nation can depend for sophisticated system of support services to be useful in taking the country to the highest level.

Budgetary funding is necessary to implement the programmes as possible. This project would not have been possible without the kind support and help of donors, friends and any individuals. To support the project fund raising is continued and we hope that all the people who have willingly would like to extend their support to the project as they like best. Their generosity will make a huge difference in the lives of many targeted peoples.
Challenge
Malnutrition has many underlying causes, poverty being only one possible factor. Many other factors play into families' inability to provide their children with the macro and micronutrients they need. Rice is rich in carbohydrates but is poor in micronutrients and Bengali diets tend to over rely on this main staple. Good nutrition requires a diverse diet rich in micronutrients. Micronutrient fortified school meals can support children to overcome the dietary challenges their families face. This time we failed to support food due to severe funding.
Long-Term Impact
The project will educate and provide meal and fortified biscuits to 200 poor learners to reduce anemia prevalence and improved micronutrient status. Substantially increased rate of enrollment, school attendance and reduced rate of school dropout. Improved child health and nutrition; social protection and local economies. Fortified biscuits have improved school enrollment by 14.2% and reduced the probability of drop-outs by 7.5% that impacted in communities in the long run. We are a bit confused how long the activities to be continued if funding is not available. GlobalGiving is tried to support from its community space platform.
