Progress and Outcomes 2025 - Futures Graduates

By Nicolas Fiedotin | International Cooperation Manager

What are our concerns?

In Argentina, 1 in 2 young people fail to obtain a secondary school diploma within the standard education system. The risk of dropping out of school mainly affects young people living in vulnerable contexts, where the problem rises to 7 out of 10. The need to start working early is one of the main reasons affecting the attainment of a secondary school diploma. Caregiving responsibilities, lack of access to technology and connectivity, and low socio-educational levels in families are also factors that contribute to school dropout rates.

What is our proposal?

Our proposal is to accompany students between 12 and 18 years of age in situations of socioeconomic vulnerability, so that they can progress and finish high school. The Program promotes, through accompaniment, the development of socio-emotional skills that contribute to: improve the school career of young people; increase their chances of obtaining a high school diploma; project their future with more opportunities.

Futuros Egresados is our core program, born in 1997, and is implemented through three fundamental pillars:

  • Personalized educational support
  • Economic support
  • Exchange of experiences

How is it going this year?

Today, the Future Graduates Program supports 2,660 students in 113 schools in 66 locations across the country, increasing their chances of graduating on time and in the proper manner by 47% compared to young people in similar situations who do not receive this support. Furthermore, 71% of those who finish high school under the Program manage to continue studying or enter the workforce in the following year.

These results show that when barriers are broken down and real opportunities are created, young people not only complete their studies, but also strengthen their confidence in their abilities, develop more solid life plans, and become agents of change in their communities.

During 2025, the Jornadas de Transición (Transition Seminars) will play a central role in bringing together students in their final years of secondary school to help them build their post-school plans. These are valuable spaces where vocational and career guidance workshops are combined with the participation of volunteers from companies, educational institutions, and professionals who become inspiring role models for young people.

The “Enhance your Future” Seminar, aimed at 350 students and scheduled for September 24, will be one of the highlights of the year. This massive gathering seeks to awaken vocations, broaden knowledge about the professional world and academic possibilities, and create an enriching space for exchange with professionals and institutions. For participants, it will be a unique experience where they can find inspiration to make decisions about their future and project themselves beyond high school.
