Dear OneMama Family,

I am writing to you today with a level of urgency we haven’t faced in years. 

OneMama Health Center Needs Your Help

Uganda is currently fighting a fast-moving Ebola outbreak. The World Health Organization (WHO) has officially declared this a public health emergency of international concern.  

There is one critical detail about this specific outbreak that has our medical team deeply worried: It is a rare strain known as the Bundibugyo virus, and there is currently no approved vaccine or specific treatment available.  

Prevention and protection are the only tools we have.

At the OneMama International Health Center, our staff lives this reality every single day. Because we serve pregnant women, newborns, and families, our midwives and nurses are in constant, close physical contact with patients. If Ebola reaches our rural community, our frontline workers and the babies they deliver will be at immediate risk.

Already, health officials have confirmed 19 cases and 2 deaths in Uganda, including 5 healthcare workers who contracted the virus while trying to save lives.

We cannot wait for the virus to reach our clinic gates to prepare. We must build our wall of defense right now.

We urgently need your help to fund emergency supplies:

• Disposable, medical-grade PPE to protect our midwives and nurses
• Gloves, masks, and heavy-duty disinfectants to keep the clinic sterile
• Screening materials to check patients safely before they enter the ward
• Isolation supplies to protect newborn babies if a suspected case arrives

1. Every dollar goes directly toward getting these physical supplies to our rural facility before supply lines tighten.
