PROJECT REPORT JUNE TO SEPTEMBER 2024

REPORT OF THE PROJECT OF FIGHTIG THE INJUSTICE OF HUMAN TRAFFICKING IN RWANDA,

June to September 2024.

INTRODUCTION

In order to support the Government efforts to Fight against human trafficking in Rwanda through education and land transit monitoring and helping potential victims find a safe passage back to their homes, EJO TWIFUZA though the support of the GlobalGiving is implementing the project of Fighting the injustice of Human Trafficking in Rwanda.

The impact of this collaboration is that From April 2023 to May 2024 more than 74 Children are intercepted from human trafficking tragedy and supported with food, healing assistance and transport support to get how to reach their family’s home safely, 122 people are educated on human trafficking, 8 volunteers are trained to conduct transit monitoring and today they’re helping our organization to conduct transit monitoring of 4 strategic transit monitoring stations.

In terms of Financial fund-raising, though the GlobalGiving platform EJO TWIFUZA mobilized the total of $ 1,075 from April 2023 to May 2024.

REALISATION FROM JUNE TO SEPTEMBER 2024

From June to September 2024, in Rwanda the community situation was motivated by Presidential and Parliament elections. In this challenging moment our volunteer’s staffs have done a considerable such as:

5 Children at risk of being trafficked have been intercepted
2 Suspected traffickers’ cases are reported for investigation in collaboration with the Police and Rwanda Investigation bureau.
260 people are educated on human trafficking through community meetings
The Executive Director participated in a workshop to launch the dissemination of the report of the Rwanda National Research and Experimental Development (R&D) Survey 2022/2023
EJO TWIFUZA has been Certified as a Data Controller Organization by the Rwanda National Cyber Security Authority.

FINANCIAL SITUATION

From June to September 2024, EJO TWIFUZA received a donation of $ 50 support on the GlobalGiving platform to support this project of Fighting the Injustice of human trafficking in Rwanda.
