REPORT OF THE PROJECT OF FIGHTIG THE INJUSTICE OF HUMAN TRAFFICKING IN RWANDA

INTRODUCTION

This report consists of EJO TWIFUZA project activities process from January to May 2024, though the support from GlobalGiving.

The objective of this project is to support the Government efforts to Fight against human trafficking in Rwanda through education and land transit monitoring and helping potential victims find a safe passage back to their homes. “Transit Monitoring involves the identification, interception, and assistance of actual or high-risk trafficking victims at transit points (such as airports, borders, and bus or train stations) before they reach the destination where they will be exploited’’ and collects human-trafficking data, and assists local National Police and Rwanda Investigation Bureau (RIB) with investigations”

REALISATION

From January to May 2024, through the efforts of our staffs monitors,

EJO TWIFUZA intercepted 12 children in the process of being trafficking on 4 strategic transit monitoring stations.
86 Population are educated on human trafficking include family members of intercepted victims
12 victims intercepted from human trafficking received food, accommodation assistance and transport support to get how to rich in their family’s homes safely.

FINANCIAL SITUATION

From January to May 2024, EJO TWIFUZA received support of 300$ from the GlobalGiving platform to support this project of Fighting the Injustice of human trafficking in Rwanda. Thank you to GlobalGiving, because without this support, this realization could not be possible.
