Fighting the Cycle of Poverty Through Education

Del Carmen Foundation created several meaningful and joyful opportunities for children living in vulnerable communities in Caracas, Venezuela.

To celebrate Día del Niño, we organized a special sports day filled with friendly games and activities. Children enjoyed playing together, building teamwork, confidence, and healthy habits. For many of them, it was a rare chance to simply have fun, laugh, and feel supported.

We also supported Adrian, a young boy from a low-income family who dreams of becoming a soccer player. Thanks to Atletico Madrid Academy Venezuela, who opened their doors to the children we serve, Adrian had the opportunity to train at one of the most recognized soccer fields in Caracas. It was his first time seeing such a beautiful and professional field, an unforgettable moment that filled him with excitement, hope, and inspiration.

Additionally, we hosted a hands-on workshop for 12 children, led by the CEO of Pastelpanes, who taught them how to make bread step by step. The children were so excited about what they learned that many of them went home and made bread on their own, proudly sharing their creations with their families. Moments like these help build confidence, skills, and joy in their everyday lives.

We also carried out a beautiful arts and crafts activity for children in Los Valles del Tuy, where they expressed their creativity, built confidence, and enjoyed a safe and joyful space to learn through art. Our team continues giving their best to ensure our nonprofit brings hope, opportunities, and support to children and youth in Venezuela.
