During the first quarter of 2025, the Del Carmen Foundation (DCF) has continued to implement its mission by supporting the educational needs of children in Venezuela. Thanks to the generosity of our donors and the dedicated work of our volunteers, we have provided critical scholarships and food support to families in need.
One of DCF’s central goals is to give disadvantaged children access to education, and in 2025, we were proud to provide a scholarship to a young girl named Naijarade, who is 7 years old and currently in second grade. Her future in school was at risk due to financial hardship, but thanks to the support of our donors, she is now able to continue her education and pursue her dreams. Naijarade’s story is one of hope, determination, and the importance of opportunity at an early age.
In addition to Naijarade, three other scholarship recipients, Endreimar, Jose, and Cleiver, had the opportunity to share their personal journeys on television and radio shows. These experiences gave them a voice and inspired others across the country. They also participated in a podcast series that helped them develop communication and storytelling skills—important tools for building confidence and personal growth.
Endreimar, one of our scholarship recipients, expressed her heartfelt gratitude for the support she received:
“I’m so grateful to the Del Carmen Foundation for my scholarship—because now I can continue my education and follow my dreams.”
Jose delivered a passionate message to other children facing challenges:
“Do what you love and continue studying—because our future depends on it.”
These voices represent the strength, hope, and determination of the children we serve. With your continued support, we’ll keep helping more young people write their own stories of success and perseverance.
One of our scholarship recipients, Cleiver, recently participated in a public speaking opportunity where he shared a heartfelt message with other children:
“This message is for the children who feel that you don’t have the support—keep pursuing your dreams and don’t quit.”
This moment reflects the impact of your support—not only helping students stay in school but also empowering them to inspire others. We are proud to see our youth becoming voices of encouragement and resilience in their communities.
DCF also provided emergency food assistance to two families facing severe hardship. These families received essential groceries and household supplies to help them through difficult times.
As always, DCF remains committed to empowering children and youth through participatory education and holistic support. With your help, we will continue to invest in the next generation of leaders, thinkers, and changemakers.
