This project will support 500 children in Ghana living with sickle cell disease by providing access to medical care, medication, health monitoring, and family support services. Many children with sickle cell disease face repeated health crises, severe pain, and limited access to specialized treatment due to financial barriers. This project will help improve their health, reduce complications, and give them a better quality of life.
Sickle cell disease is a major health challenge in Ghana, affecting thousands of children. Many families struggle to afford regular treatment, medication, and hospital visits needed to manage the condition. Without proper care, children are at risk of severe pain episodes, infections, organ damage, and early death.
This project will provide medical consultations, medication support, routine health monitoring, and education for families caring for children with sickle cell disease. It will also support early intervention and awareness activities to improve disease management and reduce complications.
The project will improve survival rates, reduce health complications, and enhance the overall wellbeing of children living with sickle cell disease. Families will gain better knowledge and support to manage the condition effectively. Over time, this project will contribute to improved pediatric healthcare and stronger community awareness.
