We will provide direct food aid to starving farming families affected by poor farm production, hunger and malnutrition. Aside from direct food aid, we will provide small livelihood support so that they are able to increase their food reserves and sustain their incomes. We will also tackle the larger climate change mitigation issues by promoting regenerative agriculture.
Poor soil due to repeated farming without soil amelioration measures, loss of top soil due to erosion and severe changes in the climate has rendered many farming families hungry and malnourished. There is an urgent need to provide direct food aid as well as assist in improving their farming conditions for food security.
We will provide food aid and together with this will be the provision of small livelihood and farming input support to poor, starving farming families so that they are able to improve their food security and have access to food supply using the resources available in their backyard. We will also improve their knowledge on regenerative farming by providing on-site technical support.
Poor farming productivity, poor soil conditions and severe changes in weather condition has proven to be detrimental to the economic conditions of poor farming families. The need to improve their living conditions is imperative for the overall well-being of local communities.
