COVID 19 is widely spread across the world and the people everywhere has been trying to adapt to the current scenario without loosing hope for a better tomorrow. Many sectors has been drastically affected by the pandemic situation as they have reduced the manpower at most of the working sectors. We recently identified 50 families who were completely depending on weaving and hand loom. These people widely lost demand for their manufactured goods during the situation thus resulting in a reduce of manpower in the sector. Thus they became unemployed and were forced to look for other income generating activities.
Don Bosco Veedu Society has identified certain families who were not able to find other income generating sources and were struggling to get food and nutrition for the family. Through the donors of GlobalGiving and local donors we were able to distribute food kits worth 500 INR for each family.
The contents of the food kits are as follows:
Rice - 5Kg
Dal - 250g
Chilly powder - 1 pack
Corriander powder - 1 pack
Sunflower oil - 1 Litre
Biscuit - 2 packs
Aval - 1 pack
Sugar - 1kg
Tea powder - 1Kg
Salt - 1 pack
Mustard - 1 pack
Bread - 2 pack
