Summary

India stands at a paradox-booming economy on one side, and over 200 million people struggling with hunger on the other. Ranked among the lowest on the Global Hunger Index, our nation's children, youth, and poor continue to battle hunger silently. UMEED's "Feed Our Future" project is a humble, heartfelt initiative to change that. We are already serving 1000+ hot, nutritious meals daily to the underserved in Northern India through our food vans and on-ground distribution drives.

Challenge

15.3% of Indians still lack access to basic nutrition (India Hunger Statistics, 2019). Rural states like Bihar, Jharkhand, and Uttar Pradesh face severe calorie deficiencies, particularly among children. For millions, a hot meal is not a right-but a distant hope.

Solution

To provide daily, fresh, and wholesome meals to the hungry-especially children, elderly, and youth-across underserved regions of Northern India. We strive to fight hunger with dignity, compassion, and consistency. What We Do at UMEED: Deploy mobile food vans to urban slums, streets, and villages. Conduct daily free meal distributions with help from local volunteers. Serve nutritious meals-with an emphasis on children and the youth. Operate with transparency and a 100% donor-impact model.

Long-Term Impact

Your support does more than fill stomachs-it transforms lives: Health: Regular meals improve immunity, reduce malnutrition, and prevent lifelong health issues in children. Education: Fed children stay in school longer, focus better, and perform stronger academically. Livelihoods: When families aren't struggling to feed themselves, they can seek work, save money, and invest in their futures. Empowerment: Feeding programs reduce child labor, free up women's time, and lay a foundation for skills.
