PeaceTrees staff in Vietnam had the pleasure of visiting kindergartens in Quang Tri and Quang Bình provinces in February 2025 to share lucky envelopes and gifts with the students in celebration of Tet, the Vietnamese Lunar New Year! A cherished tradition, these envelopes are filled with treats or "lucky money."
The visits are an important part of building relationships with the kindergarteners, staff, and administrators who participate in our hot lunch and nutrition program. Many of the kindergarteners participating in this program are from ethnic minority communities in Central Vietnam’s highlands. For kindergarteners from communities like these, a hot lunch at school helps ensure that they are receiving the nutrition they need to learn and encourages them to stay at school for the entire day. More time in school with a full belly means better educational outcomes in the future!
PeaceTrees is dedicated to promoting peace and improving the lives of children and families in Quang Tri and Quang Bình provinces, areas heavily impacted by the legacy of the Vietnam War. With the help of GlobalGiving supporters like you, we help ensure these communities have a safer, more prosperous future. Thank you for being a part of our work!
