Building trust and inspiring children for future
Juhudi children in Crisis recently completed another impactful year of feeding more children in school. With your help, we provided hundreds of children with the food, playing materials, and material resources necessary to ensure bright futures for the children. As a result, more children were enrolled in the program on track for success in school and beyond.
Clare and Joy comprise just one of the children who benefited from the program this year. Clare is 5 years old living with a single mother while Joy is 6 years old who was adopted by one of the community members after her parents died from HIV/AIDS. The two children are now happy in the school. We believe that we will support fully up to the end to be in school and get good nutritional food and other necessary materials that will make them grow healthy.
Although we are thankful for the ability to help so many of Cherangany’s most vulnerable children, there are many more opportunities to grow. One in four children under age 5 is orphan or lives with one parent. Even more startling is the reality that nearly 50% of children born to single parents at the lowest income level are the squatters. In 2017, during the post election violence many people died especially men living many homes to be single. Many people also got displaced from their homeland.
At Juhudi children, we know that our program/projects is making a difference and with the need so great, we are positioned to serve many more children with your help. We say thank you so much for your generous support you always give us.
