Blossoms of Guyana plans to provide 500 books along with tables and chairs to help rebuild the library for a high school in Guyana. We will also provide school lunches for students whose families cannot afford to provide them with meals.
Many of the public schools in Guyana are severely underfunded which leaves schools without the necessary equipment and supplies to properly educate students. Additionally, 35% of Guyana's population lives in poverty, this means that many students have to go to school without food. Without proper funding schools cannot afford to provide libraries for children or meals to students in need.
Providing meals will eliminate hunger and allow the students to focus on their schooling. Donating books and supplies will rebuild the library to allow students access to books to strengthen their literacy skills.
This project will feed and educate 500 low income students which will allow them to improve their lives through educational opportunities.
This project has provided additional documentation in a DOCX file (projdoc.docx).
