PROGRESS REPORT ON EMPOWER WOMEN IN RURAL CAMEROON-PALM OIL PROJECT

By Wirkom Fred Mbiydzenyuy | Project leader

Women heating the Palm oil in order to share
Women heating the Palm oil in order to share

Greetings from Cameroon.  I am glad to report again regarding this project. Control was made in three groups and the results were very encouraging  in that the groups are well managed and  we noted that the project  has generated a reasonable profit for themselves.   From this, the objective of the project is highly succeeding  because in the near future the income generated by these groups shall become their intitial capital.

We have also increased the number of groups thereby increasing the number of beneficiaries.  The new groups have joined the pilot ones.

Two volunteers from the UK came and worked in this project to help monitor and advice them on proper management of their project and also ensure sustainability in all their activities.

The pictures attached are for one of the groups  heating and sharing the oil and the volunteers who were happy to work in this project.

Thank you all for supporting this project.  Any one should feel free to help these women through the Palm oil project.
