Healthy and Nutritious Lunch at Cornerstone
Healthy and Nutritious Lunch at Cornerstone

Thank you for partnering with Naomi’s Village to provide daily nutrition for vulnerable children in the Great Rift Valley of Kenya. Through this project, 522 children receive consistent, life-sustaining meals each school day, including children living in our home as well as students attending Cornerstone Preparatory Academy.

Regular access to nutritious food continues to be one of the most impactful interventions in a child’s life. For many of the children we serve, school meals are the most reliable food they receive each day. Because of your support, children are able to focus on learning, grow physically stronger, and experience stability and dignity in their daily routines.

Amount raised so far: $125

What Your Support Is Doing

This project provides:

  • Three meals and two snacks daily for children living at Naomi’s Village Home
  • Two meals and two snacks daily for students attending our schools
  • Improved classroom concentration and attendance
  • Reduced illness related to malnutrition
  • Emotional stability through predictable daily care

Teachers consistently report that hunger used to be one of the primary barriers to learning. Today, students arrive ready to engage, participate, and grow academically.

Impact Stories

Food security changes more than physical health, it changes a child’s outlook.

Many children come from households facing deep poverty where meals are inconsistent. After joining our programs, caregivers and teachers notice rapid transformation: improved energy, stronger immune systems, and greater confidence in the classroom. Students who once struggled to stay awake now actively participate and lead group activities.

Reliable meals also allow families to keep children enrolled in school rather than sending them to work or home during the day. As a result, education continuity has improved significantly.

Challenges & Adaptation

Rising food costs in Kenya continue to be our biggest challenge. Inflation affects staple items such as maize, beans, and cooking oil, the core ingredients in school meals.

To respond responsibly, we:

  • Buy locally in bulk when possible
  • Work with Kenyan farmers and suppliers
  • Adjust menus to maintain nutrition without sacrificing quality

Even with increased costs, we remain committed to ensuring no child in our care goes hungry.

What Comes Next

Our goal remains consistent: every child learning on a full stomach, every day.

In the coming months we aim to:

  • Sustain daily meal consistency for all 522 children
  • Expand food stability planning during school breaks
  • Continue improving nutrition diversity (protein and fresh produce)

Your continued partnership makes long-term educational success possible, because education begins with nourishment.

Thank You

Because of you, children who once lived with uncertainty now experience daily provision, safety, and hope. A simple meal has become the foundation for learning, growth, and future opportunity.

We are deeply grateful for your commitment to the children of Naomi’s Village
