Uniting to Feed Families in Kibera

Families receiving food baskets in 2023

As the December holidays draw near, we are preparing to share the spirit of the season with the families we serve through our annual Holiday Feeding Programme. This initiative ensures that during the long school break, when many children lose access to regular school meals, families are supported with essential food supplies and the assurance of a joyful holiday.

This year, we are delighted to partner with The Kings Family Care Foundation in distributing food packs to all families supported by Turning Point. Through this collaboration, we aim not only to meet immediate nutritional needs but also to bring hope and encouragement to households during a time that can be both festive and challenging.

For many families within our community, the school holiday season can be a period of uncertainty—especially when consistent meals are no longer guaranteed for the children. Through this programme, we hope to bridge that gap by providing food and support that enables families to celebrate together with dignity and peace of mind.

With the help of our partners and supporters, we plan to deliver a variety of essential food items that will sustain families throughout the holiday period. However, to make this possible, we are seeking adequate funding to cover all the necessary resources—from food purchases and packaging to logistics and distribution.

We warmly invite you to give towards this initiative and help us reach every family in need. Your contribution, no matter the size, will make a lasting difference—ensuring that children and parents alike experience the joy and comfort of the festive season.

Together, we can make this December a time of nourishment, community, and celebration for all.
