2024’s Holiday Feeding Programme was a heartwarming success! In the spirit of the festive season, Turning Point Trust successfully hosted its annual Holiday Feeding Programme, providing food baskets and festive cheer to 223 families. This programme brought together volunteers, donors, and community members to help spread joy, hope and kindness amongst the families we support within the Kibera community. In the baskets were imperishable food items enough to last them for the entire holiday period.

"Seeing the smiles on the parents’ faces as they received the food baskets reminded us why we do what we do," said Mildred, Feeding Programme Manager. "The holidays are about coming together from far and wide to make someone’s Christmas one to remember, we showed what that truly means as we distributed the food."

This initiative was made possible through generous contributions from well-wishers and our donor friends from around the world, as well as the hard work of our staff and all volunteers who came to lend a hand in distributing the food baskets.

Many parents expressed gratitude for the support, with one recipient sharing, "I really appreciate the food stuffs that you blessed my family with. May the Almighty God bless the entire Turning Point Team and may He continue to bless you all who give so we can have." Another parent shared, “This food means so much to me. It’s also not just about the food but knowing people care.” Moments like these capture the true spirit of the holiday season and remind us all why the work that Turning Point does matter.

We hope to continue restoring hope to these families in more years to come.
