Feed 100 street-connected children in Bukavu, DRC, by providing nutritious meals, basic hygiene support and referrals to essential child-protection services. The project will address immediate hunger while creating a pathway toward safer, healthier lives for vulnerable children.
Street-connected children in Bukavu face daily food insecurity and unsafe living conditions. Many lack reliable access to nutritious meals, clean water, hygiene supplies and supportive services. This project will directly assist 100 identifiable children who are especially exposed to malnutrition, illness, exploitation and exclusion.
The project will provide 100 children with regular nutritious meals, safe drinking water, hygiene kits and basic health screening. Trained community workers will identify protection needs and refer children to appropriate social, health and education services, while outreach will encourage family or community reintegration where safe.
By improving nutrition, hygiene and access to protection services, the project will help 100 children achieve better health, dignity and stability. It will also strengthen community-based referral pathways so vulnerable children can continue receiving support beyond the project period and reduce risks linked to prolonged street life.
