Dear Members of GlobalGiving:
We want to present you with some news of what we have been doing in recent months.
We had an initial musicality group ( our musical initiation class that’s takes about 3-4 months). This group had been in the subject before but due to lack of space in the schedule they remained in the class, until we were able to establish a new day of class for the guitar teacher and the students got into their formal instrument class.
We were receiving new students until the end of October.
Currently, after the registration deadline, we have Ten (10) groups of piano classes, some with 1-2 students (15 students) . Four (4) groups of guitar classes (11 students). Three (3) Group of drums classes ( 3 students ). Four (4) Group of violin classes, ( 6 students). One (1) Group of introduction to music ( 6 students) and Chorus with some of the student of the foundation. In Nigua, an extension of Fedujazz, we have eighteen (18) students of violin classes with Teacher Venus. For a total of sixty one (61) students in Our Foundation.
Milo, one of are newest students, donate a Clarinet for our own Instrument Library. (Attachments)
Student attendance has been 95% per month, some students are missing one day or another, but so far this semester there has been greater stability in class attendance.
In November we held our annual Jazz Festival, where we had two days of musical workshops. Students from different schools of Sosua and Cabarete. ( attachments)
In December we organized our closing presentation of the semester, with the performers of the students and a bazaar to fund the stage for the presentation, benefit of the Foundation. Also Nigua, with teacher Venus, they organized a Christmas Carol for vurnerable places near then.(attachments) The date was December 15, at 5:30 pm. We return to classes on Monday, January 9, 2023.
We has taked advantage of the last weeks of the semester in december to internally ( with the teachers) create an academic reform that can help the post- pandemic effects. In addition, organize the classrooms by musical instrument in order to create a better pedagogical environment.
Now we re-open admission for new students and re-schedule the students of the last semestre in their respective instruments.
Without further to add,
