Sending 20 Girls Back to School

By Nqobile Nkiwane | Communications Officer

Season’s greetings

Firstly, and most importantly, thank you for supporting our project to send twenty girls back to school, we appreciate all the input all of you have made so far.

The Zimbabwe chapter of the Forum for African Women Educationalists (FAWEZI) is having a busy end of year as we prepare for our project start up in 2017.

Our ‘send 20 girls back to school’ project has proven to have great potential even though we still need more funds to achieve a great start.

This project has been on the Global Giving site for nine months now and we are happy to have garnered your support.-Thank you.

Times are hard but we are determined to continue to seek for means to raise money for the girls because we strongly believe they need a second chance.

FAWEZI has a greater vision than this, and with your continued support we wish to increase the number of our beneficiaries.

Amongst our three selected beneficiaries is a single teen mom, we understand that if we educate her she we would have made a positive impact on her baby too.

With your continued support FAWEZI intends to take the girls back school each one starting from the level in which they dropped out and also pay their examination fees.

Our project was born in the Epworth Mabvuku Tafara District which has a high number of economically challenged households and child headed families.

We intend to begin implementing our project in January 2017 after having further discussions with the beneficiaries and school authorities.

Kindly consider donating again during the 2016 Global Giving Year end campaign which is running up to December 31

Also stay up to date on FAWEZI in general here and at www.fawezi.org

From all of us at FAWEZI, thank you
