By Anne Thompson | President Macheo US
In helping to create bright futures for struggling families, Macheo supports caregivers to provide for their children by helping them start small businesses or become employed in the formal economy. Macheo furnishes training, guidance and seed capital for the parents who wish, and who are able, to start a small business, thus creating a means by which they can feed, adequately house, clothe and educate their children. In 2023 Macheo empowered 1306 families in this way to start micro businesses, successfully guiding them into a more self-sufficient life.
Youth unemployment is a very big challenge in Kenya and through training, motivation and imparting learning skills, Macheo tries to equip very vulnerable youth to have a better chance of finding meaningful employment. Macheo enabled 237 youth to find employment in 2023.
Because of your continued help and support, we can continue to launch more families into a bright self-sustaining future.
Thank You!
The Macheo US Team
