Thank you for your heartfelt support of FundLife International and it's F4L project to support refugee children.
As a newly established and young NGO, FundLife does not have the capacity or capability to deliver the project without the support of existing and established NGOs working on the ground in refugee camps. Over recent months, FundLife has been reaching out to several prospective partners to launch the F4L Refugee project and ensure it will be part of a holistic, and long-term intervention that can support children both in the immediate and in the long-term recovery of displaced conflict. Attached is a report showing our model working in the Philippines to support children living in post-emergency situations.
In recent weeks, Save the Children published a report (see attached) showing the invisible scars refugee and displaced children are left to deal with.
Some of the significant progress we have made is open up communication with partners such as Save the Children, and UNHCR to identify local partners for our work. Our project will be most effective in areas where child friendly spaces exist, but lack the expertise and knowhow to mobilise children through a regular and structured programme for play, hope and social support.
With sufficient support being available from our institutional partners, FundLife will visit Alwand One camp in Kurdistan, where our working partner, Arsenal in the Community have constructed Football style CFS's. We also hope to continue and build on our relationship with UNICEF in the Philippines to work alongside their efforts to assist children deeply affected by conflict.
As a significant amount of our project success will rely on our institutional partners, we will continue to update our donors on the progress we are making. We also want to reassure that 100% of any donation received on global giving will be used directly on the project delivery and not to cover any kind of administration or assessment cost. In the event that we are not able to launch the project, we will return all funds to original donors and submit a final project assessment report.
We again thank you for your support and hope our next report will share more on the work we are beginning to do.
