By Nicholas C. Metropulos | Executive Director
Our Boca Raton marine conservation/education program began on Wednesday, September 20th, 2017. Throughout the next 8 weeks, Fishing for Families in Need will be offering our programs at the Florence Fuller Child Development Center for the 10th year!
This program will be running for 8 weeks for each school semester as part of the after school cirriculum that Florence Fuller offers. During each of the 8 weeks, our Boca Raton Program Director, Ethan Rossler, will be teaching the students in the class about the anatomy of fish, how to properly cast a fishing rod, how to throw a cast net, how to tie various fishing knots, and focus on topics including: marine conservation, invasive species, ocean pollution, and the perils of overfishing.
Whether you are a past volunteer, previous donor, community partner, or a person who simply cares about positively impacting children and the environment we thank you for your support and hope that you will continue to support us in the months and years to come. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Nicholas C. Metropulos
