Hi,
Hope you are doing well.
Below is a story of Bhanuprakash, whose life is transformed after visiting Agastya Campus.
When Bhanuprakash first visited Agastya’s Science Center he was very excited to see the huge campus with plenty of labs and teachers who encouraged him to perform experiments. He was especially impressed with the Electronics and Laser cutting at the Innovation Hub.
Born into a family of farmers, Bhanuprakash has seen the struggle his father experiences with water shortage. He aspires to be an IAS officer and help solve the water crisis our farmers face. At just a tender age of 15, he has a tenacious attitude towards his plans to eliminate various day to day problems of our society. He believes science will help him enrich his knowledge required to guide him through his aspirations.
Bhanuprakash feels the hands-on learning experience he gets through Agastya is very different and helpful as compared to the regular blackboard teaching in school. He looks up to Dr.APJ Abdul Kalam and wants to use Science for the advancement of the nation just like he did.
He is fascinated by Innovation and physical science and has created various models and ideas using these concepts. One of his innovations include a model of a dustbin which removes the moisture from wet waste and can be used to store both wet and dry waste. He intends to improve waste management using this model. He claims Agastya has helped him learn various new topics like the working of fans, mixers and also the cycle of planetary movement.
When asked what he believes in, Bhanuprakash says “ I learn from my failures and try not make the same mistakes again.” He wants to be a part of Agastya in the future and help students like him.
