Don't Let Displacement Become Their Destiny

By JACKSON AMEH | Project leader

They may be called displaced children, but displacement is something that happened to them.

It should never become who they are—or determine how far they can go in life.

Behind that label are children with names, personalities, talents, ambitions, and dreams.

Children who want to learn.

Children who want to belong.

Children who still imagine becoming doctors, teachers, engineers, entrepreneurs, artists, and leaders.

Yet conflict and poverty are placing those dreams at risk.

When displacement interrupts education, children can spend months or even years outside school. The longer they remain excluded, the harder returning can become and the greater their exposure to poverty, child labour, abuse, exploitation, and other protection risks.

GoGreen believes we can intervene before interrupted education becomes a permanently lost opportunity.

Through Every Child in Nigeria Deserves a Chance to Learn, we are seeking support to reach 500 vulnerable children affected by conflict and displacement in Nasarawa State.

We want to remove the barriers between these children and the classroom by providing educational supplies, enrollment assistance, uniforms, psychosocial support, and other essential interventions.

Their circumstances may have changed. Their potential has not.

With your help, displacement can become a chapter in their story—not the conclusion.

Please donate today.

Help one more child return to learning. Help one more child hold onto hope. Help one more child believe that a brighter future is still possible.
