For a child displaced by conflict, losing a home can also mean losing a classroom, schoolbooks, friends, and the simple routine of waking up each morning with somewhere safe to learn.
Across conflict-affected communities in Nigeria, children are being forced to carry burdens they did not create. Families already struggling to rebuild their lives after displacement often cannot afford school fees, uniforms, books, or other basic learning materials. For many children, this means staying at home while their peers continue learning.
But displacement should not determine a child’s future.
Through Every Child in Nigeria Deserves a Chance to Learn, GoGreen is working to help 500 vulnerable, conflict-displaced children in Nasarawa State return to school and remain engaged in education.
Your support can help provide school enrollment assistance, essential learning materials, uniforms, school-related supplies, psychosocial support, and connections to child protection services where needed.
A school uniform may seem simple. A notebook may seem small. But to a child who has lost so much, these can represent something powerful: a return to normalcy, dignity, belonging, and hope.
We cannot erase what conflict has taken from these children. But together, we can help ensure it does not take away their future too.
Please donate today and help give a displaced child another chance to learn, dream, and build a brighter future.
