The Estufas project wants to improve the housing conditions of the Bogotà families. At the beginning were provided some estufas (a kitchen with oven and stove) and some pots, then the intervention has also planned the purchase of some appliances. Moreover, in the face of an emergency situation, small renovations are planned to create the most dignified environment in which to live. This is the case of David’s house! The accommodation conditions were truly disastrous and it wasn’t possible to intervene in a radical way because you can’t define the owner’s land. Thanks to the generous donations you give us, we were able to redo the roof and at least it will not rain inside the shack anymore! Our local collaborator, Luis, after fixing the roof, asked us to authorize to redo the facade: the results, as you can see from the photos, are amazing! And finally Davide smiled!
In February, our project leaders, Rosanna and Andrea, will go as usual to Colombia: they will be able to see in person the great results achieved and identify new families in extreme difficulty.
We are almost at the end of the year and we take this opportunity to thank all our supporters for every precious help given! We wish you a peaceful and happy Christmas!
