During the last monitoring mission, our project leader Rosanna De Bernardi, allocated 3 new estufas to some impoverished families: we had the possibility to see how much these tools have changed the life of all the people that received them. In contexts where there is no gas and electricity, one estufa can really make the difference: it allows the families to cook, and that is an incredible change, especially in the winter season, and that is an incredible change.
The next monitoring mission is scheduled for January and we are working hard in order to raise funds to buy others estufas.

Thanks to our local partner Fundacion Prosol, we are keeping on pointing out families in need in order to buy new estufas for them. In the last three months we delivered 2 more estufas and, as usual, the two families who got them were so happy that they couldn’t even find the words to say thanks to their donors. So, once again, we want to be their spokesman and saying: “Thank you donors for your generosity: thanks to you ten people more have seen their life changing!”
It’s hard for us to imagine how mach family life can change with a new estufa. Just think for one moment not to have access to gas or electricity in your home to cook something, especially in wintertime when you really need something hot to put under your teeth. Well it’s seem hardly impossible, but in Colombia there are many families in this condition. Especially where there are little children, an estufa can really make the difference.
With the valuable contribution of our benefactors, we were able to raise money to buy the first estufas. Through our local partner, the fundacion Prosol, we identified 3 families with the greatest need and these days it was possible to bring in their homes the estufas. The time of delivery has been a time of celebration: all three families wanted to share their simple lunch with our local contacts in gratitude. As mentioned in the project, a new estufas actually changes the lives of these families, because they can have a hot meal and, possibly substantial, in climatic conditions is critical to not get sick. And because of that we take this opportunity to thank again all those who have supported us or decide to do so in the future.
