The students hold an assembly after holidays
According to educational scholars, they observed that school holidays had been designed to provide children with a break from their regular routine, allowing them to rest, relax, and engage in activities that support their overall well-being and learning. The system also offers opportunities for them to reduce stress, improve on mental health, and fostering personal development.
Like any other learning Institution, Kole Intellectual Forum – Institute of Home Economics has also adopted and incorporated this learning processes in the study code and it has always been implemented to give time for their students to spend their time with their families and friends, building social skills and relationships; as well as to give them time too to be engaging into other hobbies.
After one month of holidays, term I, students have reported back to the institute on May 30, 2025 and the hold their first assembly on the June 2, 2025.

Local community demanding services from KIFA

Local community demanding services from KIFA (Kole Intellectual Forum)
Having been a Community Based Organization that is visible both at the International space and local space; particularly, at International space, on the platform of GlobalGiving, the organization (Kole Intellectual Forum) is among the top ranked, effective, site visited, and vetted among others and locally at the district level (Kole District), the organization in the same way playing a key role to expose all its roles to the community and district officials in all its avenue.
For that matter: most of the groups within the district are inviting at least a member from the organization and give them a relevant topic of present to them what can benefit their groups. Specifically, the groups that have so far invite them include: women’s groups, SACCO’s groups, corporate groups, youth groups, and others.
On the background are the groups of women, that invited them in the month of May, 2025 to present and discuss a paper on the topic of Home economics; which was found to of importance to the housewives. The paper presentation provided with the skills and knowledge to manage household responsibilities, including cooking, cleaning, and childcare. It is also supposed to help them to understand financial concepts, nutrition, and family relationships, while at the same time expected to empower them to create a supportive and healthy environment for their families

Incorporating traditional Institutions into the project
Because traditional institutions often have a long-standing relationship with the community, when incorporated into the community base projects, they are in position to build trust and legitimacy that can be leveraged to ensure project success and sustainability is exhibited into the community.
According to Kole Intellectual Forum, they believe that traditional leaders and institutions possess invaluable knowledge about local customs, practices, and resource management, which can be crucial for tailoring projects to the specific needs and context of the community; encouraging a broader participation from community members, fostering a sense of shared ownership and responsibility.
In the photo above, the two are the traditional leaders who are advocating for the sense of incorporating traditional Institutions into community projects so as to realize their full potentials
