After 6 months with the first phase of the programme the WOW 7's time has come to an end at Edwina Gateley House. Now is their time to move on to the actual external world of work as they begin trainings and apprenticeships. It also means the start of a new cohort of WOW's - the WOW 8 group. About 16 young people have been referred to the programme and they are eager to start.
All WOW 7's have now been housed - most of them in twos. They are excited to have their own houses just as they are excited to be joining their trainings. We have selected the housing locations some distance from the town but near to where the young people will be carring out their work experience. The photos show some of the boys receiving their mattresses and some other household items.
Thanks to all those who have supported this project which enables the young people to develop further their independence as they make their lives away from the streets.
