This project provides 500 vulnerable primary school children in Bukavu, South Kivu, Democratic Republic of Congo, with essential school kits. By distributing backpacks, notebooks, pens, and pencils, we help children stay in school and focus on learning. Donations will directly fund kits, ensuring kids from poor families have the tools they need to succeed.
Over 500 children in Bukavu's public primary schools come from families that cannot afford the most basic educational materials. Without school kits, these children struggle to participate in class or are forced to leave school entirely. This contributes to a cycle of poverty and missed opportunity across generations.
With your support, we will distribute 500 complete school kits each including a backpack, notebooks, pencils, pens, erasers, and rulers to primary school children in Bukavu. These supplies will be purchased locally and distributed through schools in direct coordination with teachers and parents to ensure transparency and effectiveness.
When children like Aline receive school kits, they stay in school longer and perform better. Educated children become empowered youth who can lift themselves and their communities out of poverty. Over time, this project will contribute to breaking systemic barriers to education and inequality in South Kivu. Every school kit given today builds a stronger Congo tomorrow.
